The Exercises
The One I Left Out
I have been demonstrating two really good exercises for knees for a while and been promising to put a whole class together of “Make your Knees Better”.
In my case I had a problem twice with the lateral meniscus on the left knee.
Took me a year to fix it first time, less the second, but I did the exercises every day.
Thankfully, and touching wood, knee now allows me to sit cross legged and acts like a normal knee. I still do the exercises.
In the class we will be looking at all knee issues not just the miniscus.
The class is on a Tuesday afternoon, 3rd March, 3.00-4.00pm, leaving a half hour break before the weekly Weight and Chi class at 4.30pm.
We will be working together as a study group to see what we can do…what can be done… to improve the knees.
If your knees have anything to say about it do come along.
A Bit Of Anatomy
Each knee has two crescent-shaped pieces of fibrocartilage located in the knee joint: the medial meniscus on the inner side and the lateral meniscus on the outer side. They are shock absorbers, cushioning between the thighbone (femur) and shinbone (tibia). They help stabilize the knee and distribute weight during movement.
